Train to Trail - Mortimer to Bramley - 12km

We catch the train from Basingstoke Train Station (or your local train station) and get off at Mortimer Train Station to start our walk at 09:00a.m. along the Camino Ingles (St James Way) back to Bramley then train back. This half day's Wildscape Walk (12km approx) follows much of the St James Path in the footsteps of pilgrims on this English section of the Camino de Santiago ... And whilst we don't walk all the way to Northern Spain, we do pass through beautiful countryside, churches and the Roman settlement of Silchester and onward through diverse woodlands, beautiful trails before arriving back into Basingstoke. The walk is conducted at a leisurely pace, allowing us to fully engage our senses in this breathtaking setting.
