Embark on a 3-4-hour walk through the New Forest's heathlands and ancient woodlands, interspersed with one of Western Europe's most complete networks of wetland habitats. This region is rich in heathland and ancient woodland habitats as well as holding historical significance, from its medieval days as a Royal Hunting ground to its use in World War II as a training area and launch site for fighter planes and bombers. Explore these historical sites, observe nature reclaiming the land, and discover a diverse range of birds, animals, trees, plants, and fresh open spaces!
